The London Transport Museum have a sponsorship deal with Thales, the world’s 11th largest arms company. Thales has sold weapons to oppressive regimes such as Saudi Arabia and UAE as well as being fined €170 million for bribery in 2011. Thales has used the museum to meet with UKTI DSO, the government body responsible for promoting arms exports and other military companies. Read more about their relationship here.
London CAAT will be outside the museum on October 26th to call on the museum to end its sponsorship deal with Thales. They are holding a late night event, which they say will feature passionate protests. We plan to show them our own passionate protest and get them to realise that taking money from an arms company is not a good look. Join us!
