DESCRIPTION:On 7 October take action locally to defend the Right to Boycott
 ! Join a protest\, stall\, or meeting happening in your area to show your 
 opposition to the government’s pernicious anti-boycott bill.\n\nThe gove
 rnment has tabled an anti-boycott bill with the aim of preventing public a
 uthorities\, like local councils\, local government pension funds or unive
 rsities\, from making ethical choices about spending or investment.\n\nThe
  government’s main target is campaigns in support of Palestinian rights 
 but those pushing for action against deforestation\, environmental polluti
 on\, and the exploitation of children and workers could also be affected.\
 n\nThis toxic bill will erode local democracy\, restrict freedom of expres
 sion\, and undermine campaigns for social and climate justice.\n\nThe Pale
 stine Solidarity Campaign is leading a coalition of over 70 civil society 
 organisations\, including trade unions\, faith groups\, NGOs\, and campaig
 ns\, calling on the government to scrap this bill.\n\nMPs will vote on the
  bill this autumn\, as early as 16 October (though the date has not been a
 nnounced yet). In the first parliamentary debate\, a wide range of MPs voi
 ced opposition to the bill\, putting the government on the back foot and s
 howing that there is a real fight underway.\n\nOver 18\,000 PSC members an
 d supporters have signed a petition opposing the bill. Now\, ahead of the 
 next parliamentary vote\, we need to show that people are opposed to this 
 bill in towns and cities all across Britain.\n\nOn 7 October\, take action
  locally to show that your community is opposed to the government’s bill
