DESCRIPTION:March 26th marks nine years since the Saudi-led coalition start
 ed their brutal assault on Yemen. In that time\, thousands of Yemeni civil
 ians have been killed by Saudi bombs. The UN estimates that 377\,000 war r
 elated deaths occurred by the end of 2021. Over 150\,000 of these deaths w
 ere the direct result of the armed conflict In total the UK has supplied a
 t least £28 billion worth of arms to the Saudi-led coalition attacking Ye
 men. The war in Yemen has caused one of the worst humanitarian crises in t
 he world.\n\nJoin us at 6pm on Tuesday March 26th outside Downing Street t
 o stand in solidarity with the people of Yemen and commemorate all the liv
 es unnecessarily lost in this brutal war.\n\nWe will hear from Sayed Ahmed
  Alwadaei from the Bahrain Institute for Rights and Democracy\, Andrew Fei
 nstein from Shadow World Investigations and Mayer Wakefield from the Stop 
 the War coalition as well as playing a message from the Yemeni freelance j
 ournalist Ahmad Algohbary as we hold the people of Yemen in our thoughts a
 nd call for a sustainable peace in Yemen.
